Rich Teague, DVM

Dr. Teague is a 1975 graduate of Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine.  As owner of Farmers Veterinary Hospital, he has been integral in the remodeling and upgrading of the facility and its equipment to maintain the highest quality of medical care our clients deserve.

Dr. Teague and his wife, Charee, reside in Richmond, and have 4 children and 6 grandchildren.  Their lives are ruled by their three dogs "Emma, Mickey, and Cory", and their "always on a diet" cat, "Lucy". They are avid sailors, and enjoy escaping to their boat when time permits.


Alexandra Jeffers, DVM


     Dr. Alex Jeffers is a 1995 graduate of the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.  She enjoys everything about Veterinary medicine especially learning new therapies and diagnostics for diseases.


     Dr. Jeffers and husband David reside in Caroline county in their historic home "Catalpa Grove" circa 1750.  She has one son "Robert", 3 dogs, 5 cats 2 horses and cockatoo "Willy."  In  her spare time  she enjoys trail riding and jumping horses, gardening and cooking.


Kate Lepree

 

When you call or come in, you will likely be greeted by the best receptionist in town. Kate has been maintaining our front desk since 2000. She is committed to providing the best support possible to our clients. Kate lives in King William with her dog, Greta, and her four cats.


Sara Woodyard

Sara is a extraordinary veterinary assistant. She has been with the practice since 1994. Her care and compassion is expressed every day in her interaction with your pets. Sara lives in Richmond, and enjoys monitoring the antics of her two terriers and her one cat.


Dustin Fletcher

Dustin handles the evening and Saturday veterinary assistant duties. Dustin is a native of Richmond, having graduated from Hermitage High School in 2000. He has been working in the veterinary medicine field since he was 17, and is now a seasoned veterinary assistant. He enjoys music, sleeping, and spending time with friends.  If we had a side view, this picture could pass as a mug shot!


Joyce Howell

Joyce fills in as a part time receptions for both the daytime and evening shifts.  Being retired, she finds the extra money useful to PARTY!   She knows everyone or at least knows their parents, or friends, or neighbors.  It is uncanny.  She a super sweet lady, and we are glad to have her helping us out.
